Technician is responsible for installing household appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, microwaves, and ranges in newly constructed homes, customers replacing old appliances, and newly constructed multi-family dwellings. The technician will also test the operation of appliances, make initial installation adjustments, and advise customers regarding the use and care of appliances. The following are some of the duties of the position.

• Observing and testing the operation of appliances, such as refrigerators, washers, and dryers, and making initial installation adjustments accordingly.
• Leveling washing machines and connecting hoses to water pipes, using plumbing and other hand tools.
• Disassembling and assembling refrigerators to bring the appliance into the home/building.
• Advising customers regarding the use and care of appliances and providing them with emergency service numbers.
• Lighting and adjusting pilot lights on gas stoves and examining valves and burners for gas leakage and specified flame.
• Operating up to a 26ft Box truck with a liftgate for delivery and installation.
